A row of homes without foundations. Still, they cast shadows, catch light, and hold lives inside.
I made these images while exploring for the Boise PhotoGrid, returning to this area several times over the coaurse of a month, always just before sunset.
The number of people experiencing homelessness in Boise has been steadily increasing, with a recent point-in-time count showing a significant rise compared to previous years. Rising housing costs and a shortage of affordable housing are major drivers of homelessness in the area. Other factors include lack of access to the internet, transporation, and childcare.
