CSS (Space) Zen Garden

I enjoy playing with code. It began way back when I learned how to alter my theme on Tumblr using CSS. Eventually I turned that Tumblr blog into a proper website – the one you’re on right now (there were a lot of steps and iterations between the two). It’s been my playground for code and UX/UI design.

Using website services like Squrespace, WordPress, Wix, and Webflow over the years I’ve discovered something: I don’t really like templates or default things. If  there’s an option to deviate from the basic thing I’ll almost always take it. This is how and why I taught myself code like HTML, CSS, and the various ways of making it look neat. The internet deserves to look better.

The Zen Garden is an exercise in taking some default HTML code and dressing it up. Many web designers have contributed to it using their own knowledge and style. This is my take. A zen garden in space.
