Cosmicomics

I designed this magazine layout for one of my favorite short stories, The Distance of the Moon by Italo Calvino. It’s a whimsical read from his collection of Cosmicomics. I paired the text with paintings from Wassily Kandinsky, who’s abstract expressionist works often evoke a feeling of the cosmos for me.
